Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of The Bubble Web — this website and the desktop application. By creating an account or installing the app, you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to subscribe and to use the app. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has access. An account is for one person; you may install the app on as many of your own machines as you like, but sharing an account with other people is not permitted.
Subscriptions, trials and renewal
- Paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial. We collect your card at sign-up but charge nothing until the trial ends.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and the first payment is taken on the date shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Each renewal is charged to the payment method on file.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future charges and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Prices and changes
Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude any tax we are required to collect, which is added at checkout. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before it takes effect and you may cancel rather than accept it.
Refunds
The free trial exists so you can decide before paying anything. If you are charged and something has gone wrong — a renewal you did not expect, a charge after cancelling, or the app not working — email us and we will sort it out. Where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund, that right applies regardless of anything in these terms.
What you may and may not do
While your subscription is active we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app. You may not:
- Share, resell, rent or sublicense your account or the software.
- Work around the subscription check, or modify the app so it runs without an active subscription.
- Redistribute the installer as your own, or present modified versions as The Bubble Web.
- Use the service to break the law or to infringe someone else's rights.
The software itself, and the name and design of The Bubble Web, remain ours.
What you make is yours
Everything you create in the app belongs to you. It is stored on your own computer, not on our servers — we claim no licence over it, and we could not use it if we wanted to, because we never receive it. Keeping your own backups is therefore your responsibility, and we cannot recover work that is lost or deleted from your machine.
Availability
We aim to keep the site and the subscription check running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. The app caches your subscription status so it keeps working for a period if our servers are unreachable. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue something you are paying for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by cancelling and uninstalling. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we are required to close by law. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current period.
Disclaimers and liability
The Bubble Web is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
Changes to these terms
We will post any changes here and update the date below. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use The Bubble Web afterwards means the new terms apply.
