Privacy Policy
This policy explains what The Bubble Web collects, why, and what you can do about it. It describes how the product actually behaves rather than reserving every right we might one day want.
The short version
Your webs — the boards, bubbles, notes and images you create — are written to a file on your own computer and are never uploaded to us. We cannot read them, back them up, or recover them for you. What we hold is limited to the account and billing information needed to sell you a subscription and let the app confirm you have one.
What stays on your computer
The desktop app stores your webs in your operating system's per-user application data directory. It also caches a signed token recording that your subscription is active, so the app keeps working offline. Neither leaves your machine. The only network requests the app makes are to sign you in and to re-check your subscription.

What we never see
- The contents of your webs.
- Your card number. Payment details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Your password. Authentication is handled by Clerk, which stores credentials.
Cookies
The site sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, placed by Clerk. There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts that follow you between sites. That is why you are not asked to accept anything when you arrive.

Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account records are kept while your account exists. Delete your account and we remove them, except records of payments, which we keep for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Your webs are unaffected either way, because we never had them.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK, EU, or a US state with its own privacy law, you also have the right to object to processing, to receive your data in a portable form, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these.

Where data is processed
Our providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Each provider maintains its own safeguards for those transfers.
Children
The Bubble Web is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Security
Traffic to the site is encrypted. Credentials and card details are held by Clerk and Stripe rather than by us. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. If you find a vulnerability, please tell us at support@thebubbleweb.com before disclosing it publicly.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will say so on this page and update the date below. Continuing to use The Bubble Web after that means the new version applies.
